About Upper Brookville, NY

Upper Brookville was named for a brook that used to run through the valley. The brook made the area a popular stopping place for native people who fished and hunted nearby. When English settlers moved to the area, they gave the village its current name and incorporated Upper Brookville as a village in 1932.

Today Upper Brookville is an affluent Long Island neighborhood with winding streets, beautiful historic and modern homes, and plenty of green spaces.
